Churnas are powdered medications. They can be made with individual or a combination of medications. The ingredients for making churna, as described in classical texts such as Ashtangahridaya, Sahasrayoga etc. are checked, weighed, dried, cleansed and ground into a powder by means of disintegrators. The fine powder is obtained by means of mechanical sifters. The quality control laboratory tests the following criteria related to churna quality: pH, total ash, acid-insoluble ash, alcohol-soluble extractive, water-soluble extractive, and loss on drying. The Kanjikkode factory of Arya Vaidya Sala produces the churnas. Senior doctors from AVS examine Churna’s organoleptic qualities. AVS is manufacturing 45 Churnas for various diseases. Some of the churnas are used internally and some externally.
Dose: 5 to 10 g or as directed by the Physician.
Usage: Can be given with lukewarm water twice daily before or after the food according to the condition. Some of the churnas can also be given frequently in divided doses.
Expiry: 2 years from the date of manufacturing (For internal purpose). 3 Years (for external purpose)

Disease conditions
Churna can be used in different disease conditions like indigestion, fever, cough, bronchitis, vomiting, consumption, rheumatic ailments, in gynaecological disorders, in hemorrhoides, diabetes, skin diseases, stomach diseases etc.

Usage: For external application with Amladravyas like Tamarind leaf juice or Amlakanjika or as directed by the Physician.
Triphaladi churna
Triphaladichurnam can be used internally and externally.
It is used in prevention and management of ophthalmic diseases such as cataract, glucoma and diminished vision and also in constipation.Ingredients include Haritaki, Amalaki, Vibhitaki and Yashti.
It is anti-ulcer, anti inflammatory, anti bacterial, anti fungal , immunomodulatory and antioxidant
Usage: 5 g with slight hot water or honey or as directed by the physician.
For external use
