Arya Vaidya Sala has collaborated with the Pain and Palliative
Care Clinic of the Calicut Medical College
in a study to evolve classical Ayurvedic modalities
to improve the quality of life of terminal
cancer patients. This study has led to a therapeutic
procedure, which has been published in an
international journal.
Arya Vaidya Sala is also carrying out a study for evolving
appropriate cost effective therapeutic procedures
for combating rheumatoid and osteo arthritis
.
Arya Vaidya Sala, in collaboration with
the Vivekananda Medical Mission, has recently
initiated a study on the potential use of
Ayurvedic medicines in the unique occurrence
of sickle cell anaemia among the tribal population
in Wynad.
Arya Vaidya Sala has an ongoing programme
on peptic ulcer under the aegis of the Central
Council for Research in Ayurveda and Siddha.
A new research project has been initiated
on the management of diabetes. |
